Refunds and Course Cancelations
Classroom & Webinar
If a student cancels their attendance at an instructor-led class a minimum of five business days prior to the start of a course, the student will receive a refund of tuition minus a 25% cancellation fee. ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING via email or online form to CAR atinfo@rres-online.com.
If a student cancels the student’s attendance at a class less than five business days prior to the start of a course, no refund shall be provided. If a student is a “no show” for a class, no refund shall be provided, and the student forfeits their registration fee. No refunds shall be provided once a class has begun.
Online & Self-study
No refunds are given for online courses (no instructor), study aids, books, or software programs unless they are defective.
Cancelations from course provider
CAR reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or shift the format of any course or individual class session(s), at any time, for any reason.
- If we cancel an entire course, students will receive a full refund of their tuition.

Students who cannot attend make-up sessions will have the option of transferring to another class (full repeat required) or online course within 6 months of the original course start date; no refunds and no additional fees will apply.

Continuing education
For transfers requested a minimum of five business days prior, there is no fee. Transfers within five business days are subject to a $40 transfer fee. No transfers are permitted after a course has begun; student forfeits their registration fee. There are no cash refunds.

Transcripts & Course Records
record retention policy
CAR will maintain education records, per the State of Illinois, for a period of five years from a course. Records older than five years will not be maintained. CAR is not responsible for the maintenance of records beyond five years. Students should retain a copy of their education transcripts for their personal records.
ATTENDANCE & RECEIVING CREDIT
Attendance at a class is mandated by state law for both virtual and in-person continuing education or licensing courses. Please provide a photo ID at class check-in. The state requires an attendance sheet at every class, so please remember to sign in.
Non-registered, walk-in students will be accommodated AFTER all pre-registered students have been seated.

Video is required for participation in virtual instructor-led classes. Make sure that your camera, microphone and sound are enabled.
missed and make-up time: continuing education
Late arrivals are not permitted for real estate continuing education classes.

Students make make-up up to 10% of missed class time. If more than 10% of course time is missed, the student must transfer to a new course to receive full licensing credit.
Attendance at all webinar and in-person sessions is mandatory. Course times available for make-up time vary. Please contactinfo@rres-online.comwith questions or concerns.
no shows: Continuing education
在event of a no-show, the student will have 60 days to reschedule their course and pay the $40 transfer fee. After 60 days, the student loses the ability to reschedule or transfer. For refunds, see the cancelation policy.

EXPIRED COURSES & EXTENSIONS
This applies to online and self-study courses.
continuing education
Online and self-study courses are valid until June 30, 2024. If the course is not completed within that time, it is marked as incomplete or expired and is no longer eligible for transfer. For refunds, see the cancelation policy.
60 hour broker pre-licensing: expirations
Online courses are valid for six (6) months following the purchase date. For online students, course expiration can be found on yourMy Coursespage when you log in or in the shopping cart when you checkout. Self-study courses are valid for three (3) months following the purchase date.

Pre-Licensing Home Self-Study Exam Policies
FAILED final EXAMS
If you do not pass your home self-study final exam and elect to continue with your studies, you may choose ONE of the following options:
- Take a re-take exam within two (2) weeks of your original final exam date. A $20 fee will apply. This exam will most likely not be the same one. Final Exam Retake appointments are available by appointment only Monday-Friday between the hours of 9 AM – 1 PM. Call 312-803-4900 to schedule your appointment.
- Re-take the course at 50% tuition within six (6) months of the original final exam date. No discount for books previously purchased will apply. In the event a new book or new edition of the book is used for the class, you will be charged an additional book fee.
Failed Re-Take Exams

Discount Codes & Special Course Promotions
Price Adjustments
Price adjustments are not eligible for previously purchased courses.
Special course promotions and discounts will begin and end promptly upon the advertised deadline(s) and cannot be applied outside of the stated timeframe.
COVID-19 policies
refunds and course cancelations
If you are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19, you will not be admitted to class. In this instance, the school must receive written notification of a student’s cancelation a minimum of one (1) day prior to the start of the course, for the student to receive a full refund. All written notifications must be emailed toinfo@rres-online.com. Refunds can take up to 10-14 business days to process.
transfers
Registered/attending students experiencing COVID-19-related symptoms must notify the school within 24 hours to be eligible for a course transfer. Registration fees can be transferred to another course date, pending course availability, within 60 days of the initial course date. If a transfer form is not completed within 60 days of the initial course date, the option to transfer will expire.
no shows

- CAR reserves the right to cancel, substitute or reschedule any instructor for any reason at any time; no monetary compensation will be applicable.
- In addition, CAR is not responsible for any late fees, charges or other amounts incurred by students to licensing authorities or any other third parties.
