Volunteer with us! Join CAR’s Sustainability Work Group and CommercialForum leadership as we helpHumble Designfurnish homes of families and veterans emerging from homelessness.

Get crafty with hands-on learning sessions from master woodworkers about how to recycle and repurpose salvaged scrap metal and wood into functional furniture.

You’ll have a chance to learn a new skill, engage in a sustainable practice and make connections — all while saving thousands of pounds of building materials from local landfills!

Schedule:

When you register, sign-up for a volunteer session. All volunteers are welcome to relax with us at the happy hour at the end of the day.
Session 1: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Session 2: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Reception: 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Parking:Street parking is available close to the venue. Rebuilding Exchange also partners with Kohls to use their parking garage free of charge. The address for the Kohls Garage is: 2140 N Elston Ave, Chicago, IL 60614. The garage is .2 miles away from the Rebuilding Exchange (5 minute walk).
